Tuesday's - Tempo & Threshold
Tuesday evenings are all about building speed endurance, improving your lactate threshold, and boosting overall running fitness. These sessions help you hold a strong pace for longer. We’re a friendly, welcoming group of all levels—supportive, encouraging, and here to help you get stronger, faster, and enjoy every step of progress.

Thursday's - Speed Training
Thursday evenings target running strength, power, and speed by improving your VO2 max—the body's ability to transport and use oxygen efficiently. These high-intensity sessions push your limits to build resilience and boost performance. You'll leave with stronger lungs, better endurance, and a friendly group alongside you every step of the way.

Monthly Sunday Social
Join the RunAltus gang on the first Sunday of the month for our social trail run—a relaxed, scenic run through nature for all levels. Enjoy friendly banter, fresh air, and good company. We finish with coffee, cake, and great conversation. It’s the perfect way to start your Sunday with a like minded community, and a well-earned treat!
About RunAltus
RunAltus is a community of running enthusiasts based in and around West Tytherley, Hampshire. We welcome runners of all levels to join us at our sessions which aim to help you improve your running, build confidence as well as have fun, and meet a great bunch of like-minded people.
Our Running Sessions
Tuesday, 6.30 pm: Tuesday evenings are about improving your lactate threshold, and speed endurance as well as improving general running fitness, your ability to hold a good running pace overtime should improve as you cycle through these sessions.
Thursday 6.30 pm: Thursday evenings focus more on improving muscular strength and power, as well as improving your speed and VO2 max. VO2 max is your ability to transport oxygen around your body, to improve you need to stress your system to its capacity. So your lungs and respiratory system come back more resilient and efficient.
Social run – First Sunday of every month we head out on the trails for a leisurely longer run, usually followed by coffee, cake and chat.
Special RunAltus Activities
Regular Race Meetups: Participate in local races as a team, supporting each other and sharing in the thrill of competition.
Parkrun Gatherings: We regularly meet up at Salisbury Park Run
Post-Run Social: After our social run, chat with fellow runners over cake and coffee.

RunAltus membership costs £36 per year and is renewed on an annual basis. As well as the two training sessions per week, membership gives you access to our friendly WhatsApp group, Strava group and Facebook page.
